Learning where food comes from is such an important milestone in children's lives. Lambert's Fruit Farm provides the perfect opportunity for this learning.
Lambert's "Pick Your Own Fruit" Farm is a really fun, delicious and educational experience for children of all ages!
Lambert's Fruit Farm is in the Dublin Mountains not far from Rathfarnham, Dublin 14. We went on a Tuesday at 10am when there was no booking required for this slot. On Tuesdays and Thursdays they operate a 10am - 1pm picking slot with no booking required. Bookings are normally required for Saturdays when it is much busier.
Lambert's is so much fun. There was tonnes of raspberries to pick as well as some tayberries and gooseberries. We were also lucky enough to get some strawberries too, the availability depends so much on time of season and remaining quantity.
My daughter, Charlie, was in her element picking the strawberries and raspberries - the cheeky monkey ate them we went which definitely lightened our bucket by the time it came to pay.
Entry to Lambert's is free. If you need, you can buy a bucket while you are there. Once you're done, the bucket is weighed and you pay for how much you picked. Charlie is only 20 months old so the little amount we picked cost less than €3.
Its such a great family day out - a real unique experience for all ages.
